Cobb Oxford - Cruise Control in-studio co-host
Cobb Oxford has been infiltrating Dan's show as a sometimes in-studio co-host since its inception.
Translated, that means we can't get rid of him. Although, it's not as bad as it may seem, seeing
that the most consistent thing about Cobb is his inconsistency. We gave up trying to make him
adhere to a regular appearance schedule. Now, known simply as The Ghost of Cobb Oxford,
he'll suddenly materialize for a brief time, only to disappear again for long stretches of time.

Away from the studio, Cobb is the assistant athletic director at Anderson University, where he
also serves as Sports Information Director. A Clemson graduate and former high school football
tackling dummy, Cobb has spent the last five years of his life dedicated to ridding college
football of the sideways pass.

Tom Van Hoy - Cruise Control in-studio co-host
I moved to the Upstate in December 2004 when my wife, Jillene Wahl, was hired by WYFF-TV
in
Greenville as a meteorologist.

I continue to do a daily hour sports show on two radio stations in Kansas, ESPN1340-Pittsburg
and KLKC-AM Parsons. Plus, daily sportscasts on four radio stations in Kansas.

I broadcast Pittsburg State University football, basketball and baseball in four decades (not in
succession) starting in 1977 ending in 2004 when we moved. This included four Div. II National
Championship Football Games. And many NCAA playoff games in basketball and baseball as well.

I’ve also hosted weekly syndicated Div. II football shows. Basically, a sports show host, pbp
broadcaster, emcee, utility man.

We also have a daughter, Jackie V., born December 2007. She helps put everything in proper
perspective. which can be difficult in the broadcasting business at times.

Larry Williams - Clemson beat writer
Larry has covered the daily beat at Clemson since January of 2004, when he joined
The (Charleston) Post and Courier.

In November of 2008, he left the world of newspapering and joined Tigerillustrated.com.

Before moving to the Clemson area, Larry spent five years at The Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle
covering SEC and ACC sports. While there he was fortunate enough to cover the Super Bowl,
the Final Four and the Masters. He even got to play Augusta National once (please don’t ask
him what he shot).

Larry’s first job out of college was at the High Point (N.C.) Enterprise, where he stayed
long enough to grab a cup of coffee and meet his future wife.

Larry attended journalism school at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
He was actually a Gamecocks fan growing up but swore off them in 1997, citing
professional obligations and a desire to live a torture-free existence.

Larry is happily married and has a 16-month-old daughter. He and his wife are slated
to welcome someone else into this crazy world on June 18.

You can reach Larry by e-mail at ldubya08@gmail.com.

Sam Wyche - Former NFL head coach
Former Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Bucs coach Sam Wyche joins Dan on Tuesday
mornings at 9:25 a.m. to talk NFL and more.

Sam is a Furman graduate, a former NFL quarterback and a disciple of the legendary Bill Walsh.
His 1988 Bengals lost to Walsh's 49ers in the final minute of Super Bowl XXIII in Miami, in what
would prove to be Walsh's final game as an NFL coach.

Sam doesn't live in Cleveland - or Cincinnati for that matter. He and his wife reside in Pickens, S.C.
Currently he is volunteering as offensive coordinator for Pickens High School, where his Blue Flame
run the same type of no-huddle offense he ran in Cincinnati (before Marv Levy and Buffalo stole it).
Sam is also a newly-elected member of the Pickens Co. Commission, and is a huge supporter
of the county's Meals On Wheels Program.
